you'll be asked for it on subsequent calls.
Downloading/Uploading files.
Before uploading or downloading, select the protocol you're going to
use from the Main menu. For example, enter "T Z" for Zmodem.
To download a file, you must issue the "D <FILENAME>" command at
the Main menu prompt (the SPACE is essential.) For example, to
download TechNote A2507:
D A2507.DOC
Note: With many communications software such as ProComm, you must
then press the Page down key to select the matching protocol on
your end and begin the transfer. (Your communications program
may use another key or keystroke combination.)
Uploading is similar. Issue the "U <FILENAME>" command at the Main
menu prompt. This time you'll need to press the Page Up key (or other
key appropriate for your software) to select the protocol and begin
the transfer.
Leaving a message for the Sysop.
The BBS SYSOP is here to answer your questions. To leave a message,
enter 'C' (for Comment) at the Main menu prompt. This will put you
into an Editor. After leaving your message, press the Esc key, then
'S' to save.
If you believe you are having a Stacker-related problem, be sure to

Connection difficulties:
If you are having connection difficulities with the Stac BBS, check
your modem documentation for the proper settings. Here are some
other things to try:
1. Increase the time that your communication program waits to
connect. Try setting it for a value between 45 and 60 seconds.
2. Lower the baud rate connect setting to 2400 or 1200.
Please refer to your communication software documentation for more
information on these settings.
